True. If you want a tablet now, I’d go for the Samsung and maybe this if it becomes real. The only thing I don’t like about the thin Samsung is the lack of SD slot – but that is because I like to carry around a lot of media when I am travelling (relying on WiFi spots and 3G sucks on my iPad)

I, for one, look forward to Windows 8. There are so many things I find restrictive on my iPad that would be solved with a “real” OS. MS blocking plugin support on their Metro browser sucks ass though – however I suspect there might be a Metro-ready Firefox for Windows 8 that (hopefully) will offer that choice.

Wow, I actually said “choice” when talking about a tablet… It feels weird after living in the Apple eco-system for so long. Man I hope Windows 8 runs well on tablet hardware.
